Anna Delia, B.S., M.Ed., is a deeply personal, committed, enthusiastic, and captivating science educator and administrator, generating innovation across all student life and program areas for PK-12 grade. Having graduated High School in Japan, Anna is conversationally fluent in Japanese and well-versed in the nuances of international travel and cultural exchange.
With over 18 years of experience teaching and leading in Independent Schools in Tennessee and Ohio, Anna is a recognized curriculum designer and frequent presenter of science and maker education best practices. Anna authors and teaches student-centered, inquiry-driven curriculum focusing on integrated science-math and science-art units, environmental studies, and maker education.
She was the Founding Director of the Goldberg Innovation Lab for PS-8 students at Hawken School, is the Co-Founder and Lead Instructor of the Fab Play Institute for Maker Educators, and is the content creator for Fab Play @ Home, an online clearinghouse of hands-on fabrication activities for young learners. Anna is currently an Innovation Lab Consultant, STEMM Support Specialist, Accreditation Chair, and the Founder of Iceberg Creative, an educational consulting studio focused on innovative, creative teaching and learning.
Anna’s passion for student-centered, inquiry-focused pedagogy may only be matched by her depth of understanding of frameworks that support creativity and empowerment. She places high value on the voice and experience of each member on her teams, and never loses sight of the dignity we owe every child and every learner.
Away from work, you can find Anna engaged in experience-focused travel, playing outside with her two young children, diving into new literature, chipping away at various knitting projects, or planning her next elaborate Halloween costume construction.
